Blank Foam Blocks for Into the Groove - Kinusaiga Carving
Ready for you to carve your own design
Want to design your own Kinusaiga piece from scratch? These blank foam blocks are made just for that. Crafted from 1" rigid foam insulation board, they're lightweight, easy to carve, and ready for you to bring your own designs to life.
Each block comes with a layer of 3M double-sided adhesive already applied, so your fabric stays exactly where you put it when you start tucking into your carved grooves.
A few things to know:
These blocks are hand-cut, so while most edges come out straight and smooth, foam board can occasionally be a little finicky — you may notice a rough edge here or there. No worries! You can clean those up yourself with a sharp craft knife or, use one of our frames for the final finishing touch and makes this project 100% gift-worthy!
Our foam blocks are cut slightly smaller than their listed size to fit our 3D printed frames of that size:
| Listed Size | Actual Size | Fits Our Frame |
|---|---|---|
| 6x6 | 5.6 x 5.6 x 1 | 6x6 |
| 8x8 | 7.75 x 7.75 x 1 | 8x8 |
| 9x9 | 8.75 x 8.75 x 1 | 9x9 |
Need a size that's not listed here? Just reach out — we're happy to talk through custom options! Check our other listings for 10x10, 11x11, or 12x12 and use your own frame.
Add a Frame!
Our Into the Groove Frames are 3D printed in durable PLA and include the backer board — a clean, polished way to showcase all your hard work.
These are designed to stand upright on a shelf or, they back has a hole for hanging.
Each frame is sized to fit our foam blocks perfectly, hiding fabric edges and foam, and giving your finished piece crisp, professional lines. Highly recommended for gift giving your Into the Groove art!
